Our 2 almost identical adjacent 1 bedroom apartments on the ground floor of the main house were built entirely by us and completed for the summer of 2016. We have named them Gite Noisette and Gite Cerise, as we have hazel and some cherry trees in the old orchard.
The apartments are lovely and spacious, perfect for a couple or friends because the beds can be made up either as large singles or as a super king double (with topper for extra comfort as a double). Cots and high chairs are also available for couples with infants.
The apartments share an entrance hall and the large South facing terrace with incredible mountain views. There is a large firepit/BBQ on the terrace and benches made here at La Taillede. Perfect for quiet evenings by the fire or gatherings with family or friends, looking out over the valley.
Both apartments measure 50m², and have spacious open plan kitchen/living room/dining rooms. The bathrooms are modern with high pressure showers, WC, washbasin and radiator. The bedrooms are unique and full of character with amazing features of the mountain incorporated into the walls.
They each have wood burning stoves, fast wifi internet, and a television with which you can hook into your Netflix account should you wish. However, most guests would prefer to be exploring the mountains or just taking in the incredible view!
All the built in cupboards in the kitchen & bathroom, ceiling beams, lintels and beds are made out of chestnut from our forest, sawn at La Taillede, made and fitted by our brilliant team here, with love.

Gite Noisette;
Gite Noisette is perfect for a couple (with a young child). The 2 gites together would be ideal for 2 couples or a family with older kids who would love to have their own apartment!
Since the summer of 2020, we have a brand new sauna and cool plunge pool right next to Gite Noisette which you can use whenever you wish.
Included; Linen, towels, tea, coffee some toilet paper, hand soap and natural cleaning products are all provided.
Pool towels/bath robes can be rented for €8 each.
We will also make sure you have enough firewood, kindling and fire lighters for a fire each evening, if needed, and wood for the fire pit if you wish.
No need to buy drinking water as we have spring water which is filtered and UV treated and it’s better than anything you will buy in a plastic bottle!
We are sorry but pets are not permitted.
Booking
Please note; If you book both one bedroom gites, you will be offered a 30% reduction on the second gîte!

Minimum stay; 2 nights. July/August; minimum stay; 7 nights.
There is an 8% discount for bookings or 1 week or more.
A €30 cleaning/laundry fee will be added to your reservation when you book one gite, and €60 if you take them both.
We are also obliged to collect the ‘Taxe de Sejour’ or Tourist Tax. This amounts to €1.30 per adult per night and will be added onto your booking once we know how many adults will be staying in the gite.
No extra charge for a cot and baby gear.
For a mattress on the floor for a young child, there is an additional fee of €25 per stay.
